SPURS EYE DEAL FOR MADRID PLAYMAKER

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make another move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco. The Lilywhites made an approach for the player last summer. They were unable to reach a conclusion for the mercurial playmaker. According to an inside source from the club, Spurs will return for the player at the end of the season.

The Spanish international’s future was up for debate. Since the return of Zinedine Zidane, Isco has not enjoyed consistency with the French coach since he took over, and the second time coming of Zidane prompted rumour about the player’s exit.

The former Malaga player is playing again after injury ruled him out for a very long time, but since his return to fitness, he has been heavily involved in the team.

But Madrid are still open to business for the player, and Spurs are ready to offer €50 million for the player in the summer.

The Lilywhites added Fernandez from Benfica during the winter, they also signed Lo Celso on a permanent deal. The Argentine midfielder has been with the club since summer on loan from Real Betis, and Spurs have decided to activate the purchase option in the deal.

Since the departure of Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan in January, the club have decided to add another playmaker to complement what they already have in their squad. Isco ticks all the boxes and the club is ready to make another approach for him next summer.

According to sources close to Isco, the player wants more playing time. He has not featured as much as he wanted with the national team. He believes his form with his club will go a long way to improve his fortune with the national side.

He believes that a move to Spurs will be beneficial as he aims to participate in next summer European championship and the World Cup in 2022 the following summer.
