New signing Fabio Vieira starred for Premier League leaders Arsenal during the 3-0 win at home to Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League. Arsenal played hosts to Bodo in their second Europa League group stage game of the season and Vieira emerged as the star of the show with one goal and one assist.
Fabio Vieira was a surprise signing at Arsenal this summer after they reached an agreement with Portuguese champions FC Porto. The two teams agreed an initial fee of £30m for Vieira plus £4m in add-ons. Vieira is a Portuguese junior international and he would be hoping to force his way into the Portugal squad for the World Cup 2022 tournament. Portugal would be hoping to win their first World Cup title at the World Cup 2022 tournament on Qatari soil. The immediate past European champions are not one of the favourites for the tournament in Qatar. Argentina, France and Brazil are the top three favourites for the World Cup 2022 tournament.
